When critics did nin typically prefer a film, which it felt was frail on plot, critics always praised Alan Menken's return to Disney animated features. A lyrics were written by Glenn Slater.

A film began pre-production fallowing a release of Pocahontas in 1995. Around August 2000, the film wwhen number 1 heard of as Sweating Bullets, & scheduled for the fall 2003 release. So, there were there is no projected pictures from either a motion-picture show. In the summertime of 2001, the flick had its number one pictures, the logotype (however getting the original title) & a screen-shot. Inside a next pack months, a flick had supplementary pictures. Within April 2002, it was decided that the picture should vary its title to Front yard on the Range. It had its fresh logotype in the fall of 2002.

This film was originally slated to use been freed around November 2003, but story & production problems forced it to swap release dates sustaining Brother Bear (originally slated for spring 2004) in December 2002.

A story is placed in the Old West. Outstandingly for the Western movie (and a Disney film), the independent characters come female: trey dairy cows, Maggie, Mrs Calloway and Grace (voiced by Roseanne Barr, Judi Dench and Jennifer Tilly respectively), who must capture an ill-famed bos taurus cattle thief sequentially to save their idyllic farm from foreclosure. (When Grace puts it, "Who better to catch a cattle thief...than a cow?") Aiding the children in their quest is Lucky Jack, the feisty, peg-legged rabbit, while an overeager entire known as Buck (Cuba Gooding Jr.) selfishly seeks the bounty – and the glory – for himself.
